چکیده
With the increasing childbearing age, number of mothers with diabetes and gestational is escalating. Maternal hyperglycemia creates an intrauterine hyperglycemic environment via placenta, which causes signaling abnormalities in various fetal organs due to excessive glycation. This associated future disease development child. We have shown that insulin defects are induced cardiomyoblasts using a rat mellitus model cellular models. Furthermore, we reported maternal intake eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), n-3 unsaturated fatty acid, during pregnancy can ameliorate this defect. However, EPA has anti-coagulant effects, pollution marine fish oil, source for supplements, raises concerns about active by pregnant women. Recently, palmitoleic n-7 garnered attention as candidate functional lipid alternative because it been anti-obesity, metabolism improvement, cardioprotective effects similar those EPA. Palmitoleic cis trans structural isomers, differ their food route humans. article introduces recent findings on biological functions lifestyle-related diseases cardiovascular diseases, ranging from basic research clinical studies.

Inflammation is part of the normal host response to infection and injury. However, excessive or inappropriate inflammation contributes to a range of acute and chronic human diseases and is characterized by the production of inflammatory cytokines, arachidonic acid-derived eicosanoids (prostaglandins, thromboxanes, leukotrienes, and other oxidized derivatives), other inflammatory agents (e.g., r...

Inflammation is overall a protective response, whose main goal is to liberate the human being of cellular lesions caused by micro-organisms, toxins, allergens, etc., as well as its consequences, and of death cells and necrotic tissues. Chronic inflammation, which is detrimental to tissues, is the basic pathogenic mechanism of hypersensitivity reactions against xenobiotics. Other frequent pathol...

There is good scientific evidence that dietary fatty acid composition is involved in the aetiology of many diseases. Increasing the supply of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) may reduce the risk of CHD. Several scientific organizations (for example, see Department of Health, 1991, 1994; British Nutrition Foundation, 1992; Scientific Committee for Food, 1993; Food and Agriculture Organizat...
